Plants Got Feelings Too, Don’t They?

There is a spirituality to be found within all foods that we consume, including plants. Fruit, vegetables, nuts, grains and legumes…so, don’t get it twisted!
Attractioners, I’ve been here before. This blog isn’t about defending or condemning veganism, vegetarianism, pescatarianism or flexitarianism. Once again, it’s about the spirituality of food.
Everything on the face of this earth is sentient, including plants. They feel and are able to perceive things and as a result will react accordingly to their environment. Did you know that plants protect their young? Don’t delude yourself into thinking that it’s only animals and we humans that have feelings and can show a range of emotions.
You know that carrot, beet, celery stick and granny smith apple you juiced today? Well they felt the sharp blade of your butcher knife as you prepped them for the juicer. And they sure as hell felt the tiny razor blades of your centrifuge juicer as they were being shredded to death for their juice, or as I call it “their vital life force.”

Whether you are a vegan, vegetarian, pescatarian (that’s me) or flexitarian; raw or cooked, no matter the philosophy that has brought you to your chosen dietary life style, the bottom line is to honor, respect and be in true gratitude for the life force that is exchanged.
A life force that you need and use so you will continue to live and thrive, by eating the food that you choose to eat. Because you choose not to eat meat doesn’t mean that you are not extinguishing a life so you can live. Plants are very much alive too…so don’t get it twisted! Once again, everything that we eat, including plants, are a living, breathing sentient thing.

You can create your own simple experiment and prove to yourself that plants are sentient, by growing three pots of green beans. Place them all in the same place, plant them all at the same time. What To Do?

Daily
(1) Lavish love and attention on pot 1
(2) Hatred and dislike on pot 2
(3) Total in difference to pot 3
Over the period of 4 weeks, chart which pot produces the quickest and healthiest looking bean shoots.
