Moving forward in life can sometimes present challenges. But in order to move forward, without being dragged backwards, you must make peace within yourself. Making peace doesn’t mean that you condone, ignore, absolve or pretend that a situation didn’t happen. It simply means that you make an honest and heartfelt decision not to allow the situation to control you. You get to control your emotional narrative about the situation.
In short, you let it go. Or perhaps a better way to phrase it is to use or transmute the emotional energy into the renewable source that it is. You can use the energy spent on the situation that, FYI, cannot be undone, to manifest what you are wanting. Note that I didn’t speak of forgiveness here. Because some situations don’t actually require forgiveness. Yet, all situations require you to find peace within yourself so you can move forward.
So, here is my golden question. For those of you who know my work, you know what’s coming. And for those of you who are new to my work, here is the golden question to ask yourself; what does it feel like, look like sound like, taste like or even smell like to be at peace with whatever you are going through? This is where your control of the situation comes into play. Choose to use your imagination to engage your senses and disengage your emotions that have you in a vise.
Again, we are not talking about rehashing the situation with an internal conversation surrounding if I would’ve, could’ve, should’ve, because clearly, the reality is, you didn’t. We’re talking about focusing all your thoughts and processes on what is beyond the situation for you, moving forward.
Never forget, your life, my life, our lives are all about the choices that we choose to make.
Blessings,
